Does merino wool itch?

No. Paanu is made from long-fibre merino wool that doesn't itch the way ordinary wool does. Long fibres mean there are no loose fibre ends poking against your skin, which is the main reason ordinary wool itches.

The beanie feels soft directly against your skin, even if your skin is sensitive. Many people who have never been able to wear a wool beanie wear a merino wool beanie without any problems.

Does one size really fit everyone?

Paanu is one size fits most: a single size that fits most adult heads. The merino wool knit stretches and adapts to the shape of your head, so the beanie sits comfortably on both smaller and larger heads without feeling tight or loose.

Is a merino wool beanie too warm for anything but a harsh winter?

We recommend washing the beanie on a gentle wool cycle or by hand in lukewarm water, preferably with a wool detergent. Reshape the beanie while it's damp and let it dry on a flat surface so it keeps its shape and doesn't felt or shrink. If needed, you can steam the beanie to restore its snug fit.

Often you don't need to wash the beanie at all: simply airing it is enough to keep it fresh.
